I got an email from a wanderer asking, "Sumi, what are you top out-of-the-box journeys you recommend?". 

Out of the box for me, is slipping under the waters of the Galapagos and mingling with sea creatures found nowhere else on Earth.

Right now, in that very same spirit, I recommend unusual South Korea, Morocco and the big one - coming face to face with a huge silverback gorilla in Uganda.

Morocco feels like another world, exotic and unusual. The long drives through the country are comforting, with deserts striking a contrast with the High Atlas Mountains in the background. You will love the intricate medinas of Fez and Marrakech and the coastline of Casablanca.

Uganda | June 24 | (Meet the Silverback)

Why go:

You get that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to come face to face with the silverback mountain gorilla. Few experiences in the world are as moving or powerful. This is deep inside the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and can be a very emotional experience. While I'm only mentioning the gorilla, the wildlife variety here in Uganda is stunning. Bring your best cameras!
